Electronic Surveillance Techniques

A major part of an extended criminal investigation normally involves the use of some type of electronic surveillance equipment.  Usually, however, the only training that investigators receive is a brief overview of the equipment by the manufacturer at the time of purchase.

This course will teach you the basic operation of electronic surveillance equipment and discuss how the equipment can be utilized in an investigation. The class will be structured for classroom lecture in the mornings and “hands-on” practical exercises in the afternoon.  The exercises will allow students to select the appropriate equipment, to practice installation procedures, to monitor the chosen equipment and to evaluate the results.
