Advanced Child Abuse Investigations

Building upon the basic skills learned in PSI's Child Abuse Investigations course, this advanced and fast-paced course will conduct a more in-depth examination of organized exploitation and severe abuse cases.

You will learn the psychological reasons for abuse and additional physical and behavioral signs indicating that abuse has taken place. We will also explore organized pedophile groups and child pornography rings along with the common methods used to locate and lure victims.

You will acquire additional techniques for interviewing child victims, including the use of drawings and anatomically correct dolls.  The course also includes an introduction to child homicide investigations.
