Special Problems in
Traffic Crash Reconstruction 2005 DVD

IPTM moved on to bigger things when we crashed 4 different vehicles into a stationery tractor trailer during our Special Problems in Traffic Crash Reconstruction conference held in April 2005.

Using a tow cable system, we crashed the following vehicles into different areas of a Pine 48 ft. box van trailer with a 2004 Mack single axle day cab tractor:
    1) A 1989 Plymouth Voyager SE into the left rear
    2) A 1994 Jeep Cherokee into the right rear
    3) A 1992 Nissan Sentra into the left rear dual tires
    4) A 1993 Honda Accord into the right rear dual tires

We were again able to videotape these collisions and have assembled them on a DVD. In most cases, you can view a crash from several different angles. We even placed an in-car video camera in the Honda and the Jeep to give you the driver’s perspective of the crash.

The crush profiles and speed and acceleration data spreadsheets are provided on the DVD for each of the vehicles. Pictures of the vehicles, taken both before and after their collisions, are also included.
