Floyd Hulsey became the Human Resources Director for the Polk County (Florida) Sheriffs Office in 1980 and today handles the recruiting, staffing, employee relations and benefits programs for more than 1,400 full-time law enforcement, technical, professional and detention employees. A published writer and a certified instructor in the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, he has served as a Public Information Officer, an Investigator for the Public Defender’s Office, an Advertising Coordinator and a Public Relations Representative. Mr. Hulsey holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and a master’s degree in Public Administration.
